Welcome to IAME2021!
Erasmus University Rotterdam (EUR), together with Delft University of Technology (TU-Delft) organizes the 2021 IAME conference in one of the main gateways to Europe, under the name Accelerating Transitions. The aim of the conference is to bring together experts in all aspects of ports and maritime research, from all parts of the world and to stimulate the exchange of new ideas, relevant insights and cutting-edge research results.
The location of Rotterdam offers the unique opportunity to visit one of the most modern ports in the world and to join specifically organized interactions with experts and business leaders in the port's industry. In this light, the city of Rotterdam and its related port industry also very much welcomes the IAME conference, also under its initiative to develop into the Maritime Capital of Europe.
The IAME conference takes place on 25, 26 and 27 November 2021 in Rotterdam. The conference will be truly hybrid in its form, as besides a physical conference, an attractive online environment will be created, also allowing online participation from home countries. We organize this in the faith that in November 2021 life returned to be substantially 'normal'. However, we must consider that COVID19 right now is still present and that things remain uncertain and may change. We will act accordingly.
